The Conservatory of Dance is dedicated to teaching the art form of dance in an uplifting and creative environment and is devoted to providing the finest dance training available.
The School
The Conservatory of Dance School strives to provide the finest training in the community. Excellent dance training is provided by teachers with professional backgrounds from companies such as American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Chicago, and Dance Kaleidoscope. The school also supports study with guest teachers from New York City Ballet and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago.
At the Conservatory of Dance School, versatility is important. The School provides opportunities to study Ballet, Flamenco, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Pilates, Pointe, Poms, Tap, and Yoga. Every class is taught with enthusiasm, sensitivity, discipline, and passion, with no style undertaken only to supplement another. This approach, which is unique, is adopted because it provides young dance artists with an education and training that allows them to enjoy and improve their skills with great success.
The Company
The Conservatory of Dance Company, Inc. is a not for profit vibrant student company with local dancers and guest artists that truly enjoy bringing dance to the community. The Conservatory of Dance performs in several public performances each year. A few Company favorites are Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Repertoire programs where the dancers display their versatility by performing several dances in a variety of styles. Additionally the dancers perform at many other community events such as Artbeat, Mishawaka Summer Fest, collaborations with the South Bend Symphony, and various productions for the South Bend Community Schools and local assisted living centers.
